The story started with Jay

Before CJAY was a brand, it was a quiet mission — led by a man with an extraordinary mind, a deep well of compassion, and a determination to heal what others overlooked.

Jay, also known as Peerawat Jay, is the formulator and medical expert behind the CJAY range. His journey began while working in aesthetic dermatology, Jay noticed that certain treatments were damaging patients’ skin — causing redness, thinning, and extreme sensitivity.

His curiosity became a calling. Together with his father in law, Dr. Chanchai Chutsirimongkol, he developed a device to stimulate skin regeneration. As more patients came to him with damaged skin, he discovered a common thread: prolonged topical steroid use. This is where his pioneering work in TSW began.

Over the next decade, Jay quietly treated hundreds of patients with TSW — observing, learning, refining his approach with each case. His original TSW serum has been revised and perfected over the years, eventually becoming the CJAY Rejuvenate Serum you see today.

The story started with Jay

Joined by Jing and Lou, both TSW warriors themselves, the CJAY Skincare team was formed. Now, our dream is to create an entire range of TSW safe skincare products that people with
ultra sensitive skin can always rely on.

My journey with eczema began when I was just three months old. As a baby with eczema and allergies, my parents did everything they could. Like so many, I was prescribed topical steroids and emollients, which became part of my daily routine well into my teens. By 18, I realised the steroids might be the problem—and I stopped using them.

That’s when TSW began. It took over my entire body. I lost my hair, my skin became raw and scabby, and even the smallest tasks were painful. I became housebound, lost my job, and felt completely isolated.

Nothing truly helped until I met Jay. He immediately recognised I had TSW and shared his treatment and formula—over 20 years in the making—designed for skin just like mine.

To me, CJAY means empowerment. It encourages you to work with your skin, not suppress it. It’s not just a serum—it’s a support system that empowers you with knowledge. And just as it helped me, I truly believe it can help others through the hardest part of their healing journey.

My journey with eczema started when I was five years old. Like many, I was prescribed topical steroids without ever being warned of the long term effects. For over twenty years, I used them faithfully—trusting that they were helping me. But instead of getting better, my skin grew increasingly fragile, reactive, and inflamed.

It wasn’t until I stumbled across information about Topical Steroid Withdrawal that everything began to make sense. TSW took a huge toll, and I tried everything I could to heal including diet changes, supplements, and alternative therapies and immunosuppressant therapy. This journey changed everything for me. It gave me a deep empathy for others going through similar experiences and a fierce commitment to doing better—for myself, and for the wider skin community.

Co—creating CJAY has been a way for me to turn pain into purpose, and I’m so proud to be part of something that helps others feel seen, supported, and safe in their skin again.
